Nanostructures practical course

Lecturer: Prof. Dr. Johann-Peter Reithmaier, Dr. Cyril Popov

Dates of labwork "Nanostructures practical course" WS 2011/2012

Block course

Start: 13.02.2012, End: 05.04.2012

(Reithmaier, Popov, colleagues)

Summary:

  1. Electron transport through nanostructured tunnel diodes.
  2. Analysis of nanostructured surfaces by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
  3. Nanolithography with AFM and electron beam exposure.
  4. Photoluminescence- and transmission spectroscopy of nanostructured semiconductors.
  5. X-ray diffraction on nanostructures

For every experiment you should plan approx. 1 week for preparation and 1 week for evaluation. The experimental procedure needs approx. 1 - 1,5 days.
